This month we are specifically called upon to observe the relevance of
Rotary Magazines in the propagation of Rotary ideals and the
contributions of Rotary to humanity. The different Rotary Magazines and
bulletins world over speak volumes on the different ways members of the
Rotary family have continued to serve to make the world a better place
to live but they also bring out the forms and levels of co-operation
between Rotary and Partners and Clients all over the world to make this
service possible.
Our Club bulletin, The KNN is a good source of information
on Club and general Rotary matters. The question is how participatory are we Rotarians in the
production this bulletin? We need to support the editor in information
sourcing and contributing of articles. Our Clients and Partners need
to know what goes on about us and what Rotary stands for; but how
often do we think of carrying copies of KNN when we go to project
visits. Let us be pro-active and support KNN and what it stands for.
The good news from the District Governor that our baby Club,
the Rotary Club of Kampala City, Makerere has been admitted to
Rotary International gives us a smile and more hope for Rotary’s
future signifying growth. But it also challenges us to support and
nurture this Club to its maturity to be able to run. Our pledge of
support can only be exhibited in how much we are able to interact and
work with the Club. Many thanks to PAG Patrick, the special DG’s
representative, Club representative Godfrey and all those who participated
in this Club’s formation.
Congratulations to President Hannington,
the Board and Club.
